Thread for anyone attending or following the live stream.

A variation on waiting for the conference host to start…

Thank you!

They have a YouTube channel with some previous webinars so perhaps the conference videos will be going there when ready to publish?

Jo Bartosch has written a good article including a bit about Dr Ronx that is jawdropping

Actually, it's as jawdropping that this was broadcast on BBC 3

in an alarming clip from a BBC Three show that has recently resurfaced, Dr Ronx can be seen offering breast binders to a young woman, even though her past use of binders had led her ribs to pop out

Trans zealots are a threat to kids’ welfare

Why did a CBBC presenter lead a protest against evidence-based medicine?

That BBC3 clip is grim. 😡

This seems pertinent from Maya, it's about the terminology used for NHS trans treatments:

While I feel very concerned that this was put out by BBC 3, and clearly there was only information related to instant gung-ho trans affirmation for young people communicated by the presenter Dr Ronx, it was clear that the binder Dr Ronx gave the transboy was going to at least do less harm than the one the transboy had been wearing and presumably would no doubt have continued to wear.

I'm not sure if the Ronx clip, offering binder was posted earlier, but here it is (again?)

I was on telly once. They asked me to change my blouse because it looked bad on camera…

I wasn't sure where to post this comment (not sure if this thread is still going) but it's hopefully an apt enough place:

I have been trying to ask various sexologist/gender identity therapists about the cohort of adolescent boys and young men who are being pulled in to autogynophilia. Until now I've had no traction at all on the conversation. Although I didn't mention autism this time (I believe this is another key factor in both vulnerability to viewing distress through a "gender lens", as described by Dr Az, and the directed anger/fixation of the vocal TRAs), I did finally get some interaction, albeit a small one: a like from Stella when I asked about this cohort in relation to raising awareness about autogynophilia. I really hope that this is an area that is explored more by Genspect and other experts at the conference. While the majority of young people who are impacted by the damage done by gender identity belief are female, the danger in relation to males is both to themselves and to society. It's a key area that needs focus IMO.

Here's my tweet:

The Benjamin Boyce conversation I referred to is here.

The discussion about raising awareness was somewhere in the second half, from memory. I'm yet to see any real movement on this from Genspect and others, but it feels like something that would be common ground between Genspect and women's rights groups.
