Last night's episode of The Skewer on Radio 4 ended with a segment on puberty blockers and the WPATH files:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001xdj2 (from the 10.30 point)

This is a satirical show in which the news is presented as a stream of consciousness from a fever dream, so it can come across as strange. However, this is the BBC, which is the current climate of their fightback in support of gender identity ideology, is a positive.

I can’t remember exactly who it was, but the skewer had a politician not being able to define “woman” while playing the song Don’t know much biology.
I think whoever does the skewer is GC or at least intelligent and understands the issues.

Jon Holmes. He's aware of what's going on, he go the push from the BBC for being unrepresentative of what the Corporation wanted to project.

Damn I didn’t realise that was him. The skewer is brilliant it has me laughing one minute and then crying the next.

(tongue in cheek) why doesn’t he identify as a woman and get his/her job back? Or would people maybe not buy that he’s a woman when they hear a male voice 🤔?

Thanks, will listen later.
Maybe this is why the useless BBC Sounds app never promotes The Skewer to me despite me listening to each series- I usually discover it’s back on by episode 6 by which time the point of a topical show is somewhat diminished!

Yes a previous episode from a couple of years ago ended with the “Don’t know much about biology” section and a voiceover from Dave Chapelle.

Jon Holmes knows what’s going on.

The Skewer covers many topics transiently and fancifully (it's part of the clever format), and last night's section on trans healthcare was unusually long and coherent. I surmise that Holmes might feel strongly about this (and wonder whether his producer okayed it and whether there will be blowback).
