Sorry for my atrocious attempt at mimicking the subs on the Hate Monster videos: they struck me as anything but “inclusive”. I’ve also been wondering how some (mushroom) farm workers will deal with handling a “hate crime” report given that farm labouring jobs are often done by people who speak very little English (certainly the case in our area of the UK). So many questions…

The hate monster reminded me of propaganda they had during the 2nd World War to discourage waste. It looked like a cross between Hitler and an insect. Someone help me out. I can't remember the name.

I'm actually really depressed about this law coming into effect. Can it be blocked? Can it be repealed? Can we as Scottish citizens protest?

I posted a link to the BBC article and the thing about the sex shop being one of the reporting "safe spaces" in my long term friendship WhatsApp group chat, with a horror face and how absolutely mad it is. Nobody replied. I'm disappointed but not surprised. None of them care about politics, don't really vote and haven't paid attention. I'm known as the "political one". These are all intelligent women. It's like the government knows this and just wants to stealth remove all our rights by relying on the apathy of the general population. Ugh.

It went through in 2021, it's taken ages for the Police to huff about putting 'training' in place.

I expect it will eventually be repealed, but how many people will have been arrested, interrogated and possibly tried before that happens?

It's an awful piece of legislation @ArabellaScott . I just can't believe it's actually being passed. And you're right, how many people are going to be affected before it finally gets repealed? Or will it ever be repealed?
