This survey has clearly been written by someone with an incomplete understanding of the English language, to put it mildly.

It’s a survey about satisfaction about the returns system. The options were male, female, other (please specify), prefer not to say. I went with prefer not to say as it’s an irritating question and not really relevant.

in that context I usually use the free text opportunity to say something like-
I don't have a gender identity, my sex is female
