Reported in The Telegraph, NHS warn GP’s not to use Gender GP.

GPs have been warned not to work with a discredited transgender clinic after the NHS issued an urgent safety alert.
Doctors have been told that they should not prescribe puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones on the advice of Gender GP as it does “not provide <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/isQNL/www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/02/26/children-can-order-life-altering-transgender-drugs-bedroom/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">physiological or psychological support” to patients.

Sorry, couldn’t get a link from the site I was on.

'GGP used to be a brilliant organisation that removed the barriers to access gender affirming care and did things the right way in my opinion. However recently it has become a business over a service and this really came to a head last week when over 40 people were sacked in a day to turn the service into a small team working with the help of an AI. These were the people who were running your information gathering sessions, counciling, reviewed your medication requests and were qualified to give advice regarding bloods or general enquiries.

This service has now gone from a team of around 50 people to a tiny hand full of admin workers who are assisted by an AI bot who are only looking for 2 things really. that is that you meet the requirements for gender incongruence and that you have the capacity to consent. Now this is really quite dangerous as the removal of qualified councillors and workers means that they are liable to miss what isn't being said in these sessions and opens up a whole load of safeguarding concerns for the individual in my opinion.

Many people woke up to emails saying that the appointments they had were suddenly cancelled. This was information gathering sessions, therapy sessions or group counciling that people have so desperately relied on to help them. So many of these employees that worked with you all are absolutely devastated that people are feeling abandoned by this and I can assure you that they did make arrangements for closing sessions with their clients to avoid this however, the their work week was cut unexpectedly short and we're not able to provide these sessions and I believe many unfortunately have a clause in their contracts that prohibits them from making contact with their clients for a set amount of time after termination.'

I am a GP in SW London and neither I nor any of my colleagues touch the gender GP 'prescriptions'. Their assessments are a joke and there is no monitoring or support for their patients. None see a doctor of any kind. Let alone do done with proper training it supervision. They are a disgrace.

That's good to hear. I've always had some confidence that as the unethical influence that trans lobbyists held over GIDs etc was exposed and finally removed, healthcare for children and young adults would return to being evidenced and ethical.
There's a very long way to go and the carnage inflicted on so many children and families is unthinkable, but it's reassuring to know that there are lots of medics who have not signed up to the "Useful Idiots" groups promoting transitioning children.

The problem will be GenderGP patients who have had gonadectomies and then can no longer get their prescriptions. I would feel very uncomfortable sending these patients away as their risk of coming to harm is higher than those with medical trabsition only. I raised it at team meeting this morning in fact. Hopefully such patients are rare!
