So there's' this

Over five years I was the victim of a stalker, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.
The police I can honestly say, were worse than useless. They did nothing for me and my family, becoming openly contemptuous by the end.

I had always refrained from complaining, basically they told me it would make zero difference.
After one horrendous visit by the cops I did start to fill in the complaints form.
Then I got to the question about gender identity being different from sex at birth.
I was so distraught about what I was being forced to live with that I lied and said I was trans.
Within an hour I was phoned by a guy who was grovelingly apologizing and asking what i wanted him to do in the case. It was amazing the change in attitude, it was completely nuts.
I did feel very guilty about it but also it really highlighted the difference in attitude to women being abused by men and men being abused by men.

Did that not cause trouble later?

PatatiPatatras · 25/02/2024 17:33

I think the story timeline doesn't make sense.

MultiPolarista · 25/02/2024 17:34

I got moved not long after claiming a trans identity, after being told for five years there was nothing anyone could do.

Not as far as I know. I did worry about it though, but since moving the problem has been solved and so I guess it had not come up?

Look, if you are trans then you are trans, that's how this works.

Glad it finally got sorted.

MultiPolarista · 25/02/2024 17:40

Ok, or you can come round to my house then and I will show you the evidence of the stalking and the police report

Gives details in OP then needs to dm to give details... is it half term somewhere?

I'll try again without sarcasm: if you have details, just share them. Don't drip feed.

(Or just write out the story first to get a handle on the plot, then post it)

MultiPolarista · 25/02/2024 17:42

well Im not giving out my name and address?

what details do you want?

I feel like I'm helping my kid with homework.

Which police force, what else did you try before deciding this was sex based discrimination to not respond to your stalking claim? How often did you report and what was the actual police response? If it was sex discrimination and you say you have a family, why didn't your male partner, if you have one, report to check the effect. Why did you go for gender identity? In the current climate, you could claim to be Jewish or have some other characteristic under threat. Are you sure those won't have got a police response?

It is highly unlikely the police called just because you ticked a box. If you want to claim this is true (or to get good grades), you need to give more context.

MultiPolarista · 25/02/2024 17:52

I thought I had given the plot.
Maybe it was too summarized.

ok, so for about 20 years I lived with my kids in a communal house. not my first choice but it was v cheap and in a good area ect.
after about 17 years everyone else had moved on except me and the kids.
Not long after everyone else left an acquaintance, text me saying could he leave his bike at my house. He showed up at the door and anyway after half an hour he said he had been evicted and could he move in.
Now this place was a seven bed house so I (really really stupidly) said of course.
As soon as the first set of bills arrived and I asked him to contribute he turned in to a psychopath.
he assulted me, stole money, followed my kids down the street, made sexual comments about my kids, filmed us at home and much much more. It would take ages to list everything.
he made our lives hell and made no bones about it, openly saying as much in long abusive letters he would leave round the house.
It was terrifying.
We discovered through this ordeal that women have zero rights to protection as far as the police are concerned.
After years and no help from the landlord I was desperate.
So I claimed a trans identity and yes, it solved my problems when nothing and no one else seemed to be able to help us.

I don't understand why the landlord should help with a police matter... it's not the only thing I don't understand but let's start there (again which police force? )
