Not sure about this though: I think I might disagree. While this is framed as a gender-critical belief, it might more accurately be described as “trans atheism”.

I know what she means and she is right about this being an issue of heresy to the political movement, but there is no need for women to use the language and identify themselves in trans terms even to be allowed to not believe. Language capture has been a hallmark of this movement, we often see political activist posters on threads trying to talk about 'non trans people' as if everything must be defined by and in relation to this concept. Which denotes compliance to it.

Gender critical/pro reality does it.

Yeah, I've got a religion and if I call myself a trans atheist that just confuses things. I quite like biology realist.

@LondonLass91 it was organised by the Women's Rights Network. You should be able to find your local network via their website. I was involved in the planning via my local group but sadly had to work today so couldn't be there.

The comments from the other side on twitter about us all being old women clearly show no understanding that a lot of us, especially younger GC women, have jobs and other responsibilities and are less likely to be able to join in. I have young kids and can basically never make it to protests or talks I'd love to go to because I have nobody to mind the children. I'm grateful to those of you who can go, and to those who put up the live streams and live tweeting. Thank you.

THIS. I'm not particularly young but I was an old (was the term geriatric?) mum to my last so still have childcare responsibilities which are not always easy, nor cheap to put aside, not to mention work.

They don't understand the realities of many within the sex class of women at all. And they underestimate us as a result.

The thing a lot of these politicians forget is that the old stupid women they despise have a vote as well .
