https://www.reddit.com/r/nevergrewup/

'When the body got older but the mind remained a child. A place for people who grew up on the outside but still feel like a child mentally (age dysphoria.) To discuss, understand and help each other.'

I identify as 67 years old and would like my pension, please.

ArabellaScott · 26/01/2024 07:33

There's a sticky note on the sidebar explaining that 'age dysphoria' is not 'age play' or paedophilia.

Thank goodness for that.

I'm assuming 'adult babies' is part of this 'age dysphoria ' shtick.

And I'm wondering why the Dutch bloke who said he was trans age got so much stick from Jane Fae. Maybe because he didn't have 'passing privilege'...

So....

I now know the jellyfish is the sign for someone who is into transage! Keep an eye out for those jellyfish badges!!

What the fuck? I like jellyfish! I have a beautiful jellyfish Christmas tree ornament and a jellyfish embroidery. The parapaedos can just fuck off with abstracting jellyfish!

Sounds like Internal Family Systems:

IFS is a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self. We believe the mind is naturally multiple and that is a good thing. Just like members of a family, inner parts are forced from their valuable states into extreme roles within us. Self is in everyone. It can’t be damaged. It knows how to heal.
IFS is frequently used as an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.
But IFS is much more than a non-pathologizing evidence-based psychotherapy to be used in a clinical setting.

Age dysphoria already exists, it usually manifests as a midlife crisis.
Unfortunately, medical treatment is so expensive that only billionaires can afford a regenerative medicine physician.

'When the body got older but the mind remained a child' is a clever way of reframing to make it sound like they're talking about some sort of disability. We know of course that some people's mental ages do remain undeveloped. And so as often, there's a piggybacking on actual issues to try to normalize behaviour which isn't at all the same.

breakfastdinnerandtea · 26/01/2024 07:49

Surely this is a good thing? More and more people are opening their eyes to transgender ideology being nonsense. Surely the more this happens (trans age, trans race, trans abled etc) the more people will see the insanity of it?

As an aside, do you ever think Reddit posts read like they've been started half way through a conversation? Half of them make no sense to me whatsoever!

Stefoknee is in a sexual relationship with both of his 'adopted parents '. Who let him play with their grandchildren while LARPing as a child. More red flags than a communist party parade.

I think the jellyfish thing is because there is a type of jellyfish which can go back to it's immature 'child' developmental stage, if under threat (caveat I am getting this info from a vaguely-remembered episode of Octonauts!)

Search up Puella Aeterna (or Puer aeternus if you’re male).

It’s a fascinating concept in Jungian psychology and many of us will see ourselves in there. It’s a very unhappy state of existence.

This has to be some sort of trauma reaction, surely?

Those poor children. I don't see any way he's not a pedo, sorry if that's bigoted.

Mail version of the same interview

www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3356084/amp/I-ve-gone-child-Husband-father-seven-52-leaves-wife-kids-live-transgender-SIX-YEAR-OLD-girl-named-Stefonknee.html

In an emotional video with gay news site a^ in collaboration with The Transgender Projectt^, Stefonknee (pronounced ‘Stef-on-knee’) Wolscht, 52, of Toronto, says she realized she was transgender - rather that simply a cross-dresser - at age 46, and split from her wife, Maria, after she told her husband to 'stop being trans or leave'.

Now, Stefonknee lives with friends who she cans her 'adoptive mommy and daddy' as a six-year-old girl, dressing in children's clothing and spending her time playing and coloring with her adoptive parents' grandchildren.

Stefonknee says her 'adoptive' family, which consists of an older couple and their children and young grandchildren, are completely accepting of her identifying as a little girl.

She says she's living as a six-year-old girl because it's something she could never do when was in grade school.

'I can’t deny I was married. I can’t deny I have children,' she says in the video. 'But I’ve moved forward now and I’ve gone back to being a child. I don’t want to be an adult right now.'
Stefonknee further adds: 'I have a mommy and a daddy - an adopted mommy and daddy - who are totally comfortable with me being a little girl. And their children and their grandchildren are totally supportive.'

Good grief 😳 Some people are completely delusional.

MagpiePi · 26/01/2024 08:26

Why are these men identifying as little girls? Surely they should be identifying as little boys? It can’t be that it is some kind of fetish, can it, particularly when they dress like frilly pink Bo-Peeps?

Literally, in some cases! Even in British waters there are some very dangerous ones.

This has to be some sort of trauma reaction, surely?

Many people do all sorts of odd things as a trauma reaction or if they are having a mental health crisis, but that doesn't make any of it real, or merit newspapers reporting on this without any effort to point out the safeguarding issues here for the children involved.

I've always been interested in the difference between how people with hallucinations and delusions are treated depending on whether there's a religious vision involved or not. Some of the former have become saints, but the ones who simply think they're Napoleon end up in a psychiatric hospital. It seems to me we're in a modern day variant of that.

ArabellaScott · 26/01/2024 07:34

That trans identified man is a hypocrite.

And a least a 45 year old person identifying as a 10 year old has actually been 10 in the past and knows what it is like.

A man has never been a woman

RowanMayfair · 26/01/2024 08:33

Hey, this is a good thing. The concept of 'dysphoria' is a spurious condition that really means nothing. Let's allow people to call 'normal dissatisfaction with getting older' 'dysphoria'. Let's allow people to call 'I'm a basic white girl who wishes I was Japanese and therefore interesting' 'dysphoria'. The opposite of dysphoria is euphoria. Let's shine light on this nonsense term that has been given far too much notice by the psychologist community.

I wasn't defending it.

Sorry, I did know that. Should have made it plain!

Anyway, all this talk of Brian/Bryan Johnson/Johnston has made me think of this, which seems like a healthier reaction to the oddities of life than trying to be regenerated:

Brian Johnston & Jonathan Agnew on TMS

Brian Johnston and Jonathan Agnew on TMS, August 1991. Classic broadcast when they lose it in the end of play summery when Agnew drops out the phrase Leg Ove...
