Any guidance published yet on responding to gender questioning children consultation?

Hi

I'm a long time lurker on Sex and Gender board. I've name changed for this.
I've kept looking but am yet to find any guidance or advice from Safe Schools Alliance, Sex Matters, Transgender Trend, Bayswater Support Group or even A Teachers Guide to Sex and Gender on responding to the DfE consultation on Gender Questioning Children.

https://consult.education.gov.uk/equalities-political-impartiality-anti-bullying-team/gender-questioning-children-proposed-guidance/consultation/subpage.2023-12-19.3445648010/

Sex Matters published a 'report card' before xmas and said they'd have something more detailed in the new year. It's not there yet.

I'm probably being impatient, but if I have missed anything please let me know.

James Esses and T Trend managed to go undercover into this webinar https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12975535/Teachers-webinar-cult-trans-activist-teachers-ignore-Government-guidance-gender-questioning-children-schools.html?ico=authors_pagination_mobile#article-12975535 which shows that teachers really want advice on how to react to the guidance...

I know what I can probably say in response to the consultation but it would be good to have orgs who know their stuff round up the most important points.

Thanks

Safe schools alliance are working on it I believe

I've been wanting to ask this @SchoolGuidanceQ as I've been searching too.

Robin Moira has done one and it's been shared on twitter by educational psychologists to use in their response to the consultation.

This EP is sharing it and encouraging EP services to do a collective response, to tell schools not to follow the guidance and that it's illegal not to use someone's preferred pronouns.

We need a counter guidance for this nonsense from Robin.

Yes exactly! I saw the Robin Moira White one, I saw James Esses take down of that session he went to and I keep looking for the 'counter guidance' as you say.

It would be good to see the final Cass Review as well before responding. Allegedly that's soon..? I'll be leaving it to the last minute regardless but agree that it'll be useful to see what the various groups are saying too.

WarriorN · 24/01/2024 11:33

I don't know, sorry

WarriorN · 24/01/2024 11:33

Might be worth asking them on Twitter?

Yeah I’d have to create an anonymous twitter account to do that! I was hoping someone on here might know

SSA definitely working on it. I imagine the others are too. I am impatient as well but I figure more may come to light before the deadline so probably best to wait. Don't want to wait too long and miss the deadline though!

Oh good to hear. I was going to bump this thread to remind everyone to fill in the consultation. I haven’t done it yet - must do it next week or even this weekend.

also I think today has the private members’ bill in the Commons on conversion therapy, the one from Lloyd Russell-Moyle
https://bills.parliament.uk/bills/3545/stages

i haven’t managed to write to my MP about it - has anyone else?
