Has anybody here seem Poor Things yet?

I went to see it this afternoon and sat slightly horrified in a cinema full of chortling people, about Emma Stone's character being relentlessly exploited by men but this being portrayed as not being altogether a bad thing.

Watched it today, thought it was completely off the wall bonkers and surprisingly funny. I think we are doing Bella a complete disservice if we see her as a victim, she transcends all the social expectations on women and exasperates the men who want to control her because she lives by her own instincts and logic. I found it entertaining and unlike anything I’ve ever seen!

I watched this last night. I loved the whimsical depictions of the city and the way the film was shot. But I was I suppose naively surprised to find it was billed as a comedy. At the beginning I saw it more of a Frankenstein type tragedy, although I did like ‘grown Bella,’ at the end.
I think I was most disturbed by Bella as a toddler discovering sexuality, that the men saw this as desirable and were even more attracted by the feral unmannered brain that was driving the lust. Every single man in the film was sexually or morally corrupt and the main roles were clearly paedophiles. Brilliantly acted though.
