Nomcebo walks around Swaziland, raising awareness of periods, fighting stigma, and providing hygiene products including sanpro to women and girls.
She also works with Binti, which has an interesting franchise project helping women to set up making sanitary napkins:
'In Swaziland when girls start their periods, the community assumes the girls have started to have sex. A massive taboo exists around periods and nobody talks about it.
We have trained our Binti Ambassador Nomcebo Mkaliphi in Swaziland to provide Binti Menstrual Education.
We are fundraising to enable Nomcebo to continue educating in her community and encourage good menstrual health practices.
Support Binti Ambassador Nomcebo Mkhaliphi and support Binti Menstrual Education.'
Obviously I can't link to the fundraiser, but if you google Nomcebo Mkhaliphi, it should come up under TotalGiving.
