under British cycling you have a girls category - born female at birth- and then another category which is defined by age that is for born male at birth and for those that Id as transgender women.

I mostly think Martina is great but I disagree that she nails it. She's still calling them women. Name the problem. These are two men on a women's podium. Being outraged but still acquiescing to their language fallacies isn't helping.

Those guys aren’t even trying! Not that it would be any better if they were, but their appearance adds to the fuck-you factor. Are they even pretending to be female in their everyday lives?

It looks like American cycling is going to push this incredibly stupid experiment as far as it can go, which will at least make for a useful example to point to. I wonder how long before it’s entirely a category of second-rate men, and how long the women’s event continues after that.

Just thinking of Rhys McKinnon, the trailblazer in the burgeoning field of men cheating at women’s cycling. He wouldn’t win any more - the new crop of male cheats are cyclist shaped. It’s grimly fascinating watching the inevitable unfold.
