Absolutely shocking.

Well, shocking isn't perhaps the right word. It's completely predictable in a country which has so much misogyny and patriarchal structure engrained. Appalling is probably better.

Women really are viewed as support humans in some societies.

Desperately sad. And probably necessary for family survival because women are so underpaid
