I'm surprised there isn't a thread on this or maybe there is, but the search function on here is shocking! So apologies in advance!

Love to know the full story to this! So sudden! Are lawsuits on the way?

One of the world's leading transgenderr* surgeons has stunned staff and patients by suddenly placing his Mayfair clinic in liquidation.
Controversial Christopher Inglefield - who became known as the Snapchatt* Surgeon after livestreaming operations on the platform – has left patients awaiting surgery in despair.

I think we are going to see a lot more of this now that lawsuits are starting to come in. The butchers are going to start panicking and trying to run and hide.

HellonHeels · 01/12/2023 02:08

I thought this was goung to be that horrific "yeet the teats" woman. I very much hope she is next to go.

Do you think that's what it is also? Lawsuits coming?

If you read the article at least one poor patient was there for more treatment.

Patients have expressed their anxiety about how their treatment will continue.
One said they had pain from sex reassignment surgery which Mr Inglefield was treating.

The bullshit will be over soon with a bit of luck.

Unfortunately the NHS will be left to mop up the debris at taxpayer expense, but that won’t go on forever either.

TheDogthatDug · 01/12/2023 03:09

Was he the one who said that a gynaecologist wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a neo and a real vagina?

endofthelinefinally · 01/12/2023 03:20

From everything I have read it seems that pain and dysfunction affect all these patients. It is an absolute scandal and as pp have said, the nhs is going to be left with a cohort of irreversibly damaged young people to deal with. The physical and mental issues are going to be horrific.

ArthurbellaScott · 01/12/2023 05:59

Ah. Unsurprised. This is the doc who posed toilets with patients iirc.

Yes, him.

'He is also an exponent of womb transplants, claiming the contentious procedure is 'essentially identical' to that of 'cis-women' – females born in that gender.
Last year Mr Inglefield said: 'This pioneering birth is extremely important for any trans female who would like to carry her own child.
'Because once the medical community accept this as a treatment for cis-women with uterine infertility, such as the congenital absence of a womb, then it would be illegal to deny a trans-female who has completed her transition.
'There are clearly anatomical boundaries when it comes to trans women but these are problems that I believe can be surmounted and the transplant into a trans-female is essentially identical to that of a cis-female.'

😜

There was already an obliquely-titled thread, and a bit more background digging's already been done on it:

A previous misconduct warning from a tribunal, and involvement with the Good Law Project's failed judicial review of NHS waiting times - presumably in an effort to get business off them.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately the link doesn't work for me.

'There are clearly anatomical boundaries when it comes to trans women but these are problems that I believe can be surmounted and the transplant into a trans-female is essentially identical to that of a cis-female.'

Well no, you just said there are "anatomical boundaries" which exist with male "women", so it isn't "essentially identical" to those into women, is it?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 01/12/2023 09:32

Because once the medical community accept this as a treatment for cis-women with uterine infertility, such as the congenital absence of a womb, then it would be illegal to deny a trans-female who has completed her transition.

This is the song all these quack surgeons sing, like Ben Jones etc. They don't understand the Equality Act.

irishmurdoch · 01/12/2023 21:18

The 'anatomical boundary' being that men aren't women?
