Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

I'm a bit confused - it doesn't sound as if they are being asked to check up on (do you mean check up on and report?) colleagues who don't use pronouns, but to check for pronouns in someone's email signature before referring to that person, so that they use the right/preferred pronouns. If no pronouns are listed, presumably they would just use sex based ones. They're not expected to do anything if someone has no pronouns listed.

That’s how I read it too RichardMarxisinnocent

Agreed. It's such a badly written story that it may confuse, "Check up on" with "Check".

They're not expected to do anything if someone has no pronouns listed.

That expectation of NFA isn't clear to me. Colleagues may find themselves in compelled use of pronouns territory which may be separately problematic. And that's aside from the suggestion that they might demonstrate allyship through joining the network etc.

Thankfully SEEN groups are gaining traction within the civil service and the arms length bodies so hopefully common sense will return in the not to distant future
