Sex Matters have made a great, but horrifying list. Very useful in writing to MPs and to send to Police prior to meetings etc. The level of violence/intimidation by the TRAs is horrifying and needs wide publicising.

If you know of other incidents you can email to add them.

They haven’t mentioned the protest in front of the venue where the Lesbian Project met.

Did they mention the steward that got deliberately wrapped in the banner and knocked over at the LWS rally in Hyde Park this year?

GailBlancheViola · 25/11/2023 09:26

Both sides eh?

Where are our usual suspects who defend all things Trans?

ArthurbellaScott · 25/11/2023 09:32

Helle, I'd contact and ask them to add those incidents.

Really helpful to have these collected in one place.

Froodwithatowel · 25/11/2023 09:44

Reading that list, it comes up over and over again. Man... man.... man.... man....

Antisocial thugs of men who are gleefully embracing being able to abuse women. It's less terrorism than a chimps tea party that's been allowed to get completely out of control.

And what were the women doing? Being in a public place wishing to talk together about gender critical views. Or sometimes merely existing in a public place having been heard to previously talk about gender critical views. There are trans flags and propaganda everywhere, it's flapped about by half the establishment. Either all views can be represented, discussed and visualised in public places or none of them can.

Helleofabore · 25/11/2023 09:44

I might do that arthur, but I also wonder if it would be worth waiting for any others and then include them in the email as well.

For instance, would it also be a good fit for the times the police have been used to investigate women’s words or stickering. Or would that be a different timeline for them so it doesn’t detract from this one.

RoyalCorgi · 25/11/2023 11:49

It's an excellent and much-needed piece of work by Sex Matters. It has most of the ones I remember in it, but a great idea to record additional ones here and then send them in.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 25/11/2023 12:47

What a terrifying list of violent aggressive males - all demanding the right to be alongside women and girls while undressing / vulnerable.

I wonder how many investigations / charges following this violence were carried out by our Stonewall captured police? How would this contrast with the legion of women investigated for uttering hurty words / ribboning? 🙄

I believe the Erin Phoebe Dawson who was convicted in July 2023 of assaulting Belstaffie in March 2022 was a student mental health nurse at the time of the assault. I would like to know if his actions rendered him ineligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. They bloody well should have done.

lanadelgrey · 25/11/2023 13:21

Do send them in - it’s good to have one resource under one banner. The events mentioned are referenced and attributed, which makes it very much more difficult to refute as hearsay

Datun · 25/11/2023 13:27

And that doesn't include threats to venues to stop women gathering.

GwenogJones · 25/11/2023 14:05

I don't know if it counts because it was an out in the wild event, rather than organised protest/ intimidation and the woman involved wasn't there to be GC - but that starbucks worker clapping in the woman's face and then attacking the man filming was a standout moment of batshittery for me this year.

And the woman who called the baby fascist, who worked for Lloyd Russell-Moyle. Though I suppose that was wtf ridiculous rather than 'threats, violence and intimidation'.

But didn't a British based TRA tweet something about giving KJK a "New Zealand welcome" when she was going to a British town, which was a clear reference to her being assaulted in New Zealand and an incitement to do the same? I don't remember the specifics but I'm sure someone does.

Igmum · 25/11/2023 16:15

Well done Sex Matters. I particularly liked the introduction emphasising that they had not come across any examples of terfy women attacking or threatening men. This is a great resource to hammer that point home.

EasternStandard · 25/11/2023 16:18

Bloody hell

What women are up against

These violent men

Yes. Good points.

Oh, that was hard to watch. I nearly bailed after 15 seconds. Any women who were the brunt of any of that Flowers

BoreOfWhabylon · 25/11/2023 21:58

I'd seen all the individual events over the years as they happened, but that collation of the awfulness is just jaw-dropping.

Isn't it awful. I hope it gets played on repeat to every person who meaninglessly parrots "fault on both sides"
