Infuriating, particularly given how Breeze is positioned - ie British Cycling will helpfully group together women who are less confident/traumatised around men, and present them to any abusing male who’s prepared to say the magic words

(NB that does not mean all TW are abusers, but that many abusers would find it convenient to say they are TW - and there is no obvious way to tell the difference)

I don’t know if Breeze leaders get paid, or get some other recognition of their work by British Cycling? If I were one, I might be deciding my group would be better managed locally!

I only looked at the first dozen or so comments, but they pretty much all agreed the policy - and especially the ban on saying 'man' - is ridiculous, discriminatory and harmful to both individual women and women's sport as a whole. Mainly comments from men.

The language Jon Dutton has used is so absolutely mysogonistic...threatening I would say...

I think one way to tell in this context is that when any of these men turn up to a women-only cycling event and demand to be included, this is inherently abusive behaviour.
