Being a woman is by far the biggest influence on my health, second even to lifestyle choices. Womens health is horrifically overlooked. Under researched, under funded, unexplored. There is power in the word woman and in talking about the challenges and illnesses we face as women's health issues. However, as we have seen from the recent endometriosis south debacle, too many charities that should be centering women, have jettisoned the word in the blind rush to be 'inclusive'.
I want to get a sense of which health charities are not afraid to use the word woman and which have erased it.
I will start with the Eve appeal as it is popping up on my facebook. Front page. No mention of women.
