If TRAs hadn't diverted a large amount of attention onto themselves and their largely irrelevant issues, there wouldn't be a need for gender critical feminists in the Green Party to make a stand, would there? Then they could all get on with saving the planet.

A party whose main focus is, or should be, on the environment, should be a party for people who value science and evidence-based policy making. The Green Party and most other political parties in the UK has instead uncritically adopted an unscientific, quasi-religious ideology and made it central to policy. They are sidelining, sanctioning and expelling members who raise legitimate questions about this ideology. They are behaving as if being ideologically pure on this niche issue is more important than campaigning for environmental issues.

Consequently, they can whistle for my vote for the foreseeable future.

Will there even be a Green Party still exist after the sums it will have to pay out following the ongoing court cases?

Will it be able to fund the deposits for candidates? They have to be paid in advance, £500 per candidate, multiplied by how many in a general election?

To my mind a growing number of people who have been attracted to join the Green Party have adopted what I'd call climate change extremism - to the extent that it has become a kind of religious fundamentalism and cult belief/ activity. Much like the rest of woke ideology. It is no longer about ecology, respect for the natural world or sustainable living. Most of which is now fairly mainstream and uncontroversial.

TRA means Trans Rights Activist.

Traditionally, most people join the Green Party because they care about the environment. The climate emergency has added urgency to their worries and campaigning.

Over recent years, the Green Party has been the victim of entryism. There has been a surge of social justice warriors who put promoting the wishes of people who identify as TQ+ ahead of anything else.

Few people who join any political party actually become actively involved and even fewer stand for internal election or attend Party conferences.

Hence TRAs in the Green Party have a stranglehold over the party structures and have pushed crazy policies through such as "Transwomen are women, Transmen are men and non-binary identities are valid" which is not an equality claim; it is a belief claim, a catechism. It is as inappropriate for a political party policy as would be a statement that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah and salvation may only be achieved through him or that Mohammed is God's true Prophet.

The Green Party says to voters, "Listen to the Science" when talking about Climate Change but wants us to ignore science (such as biology or physiology) when science inconveniently contraducts gender identity theory.

Gender identity authoritarians in the Green Party aim to silence those who disagree that men can be women; who say that women are discriminated against because of their sex and so should be able to organise on the basis of their sex; who say that Greens can't condemn artificial hormones in meat but promote them for people who don't like their bodies; who say that gender ideology serves the interests of big businesses, in particular big pharma; who raise concerns about what is happening to gender distressed children.

I have not met one gender critical member of the Green Party who wishes to suppress the free speech of those who believe in gender identity theory. We want them to be able to hold their beliefs and to express them, no matter how crazy those beliefs are. We want them to extend the same courtesy to us

But they will not be happy until everyone submits to their demands.

They have even started targeting people who believe that Trans Women Are Women but also want to see democracy and fair play.
They have, for example, targeted former MEP Molly Scott Cato and tried to have her recalled from her position.

GCs would love the Green Party to get back to its ecological roots but that won't happen while free speech and women's rights are under constant attack.

My understanding is the green party are being held back by those who happily give people like aimee Challenor and David Challenor position and influence in the party. If the greens aren't concerned about that they should be nowhere near power.

I think because they are relatively minor, they are the easiest party in which to gain traction if you are just desperate for attention and to be taken seriously for no reason other than it is literal violence for your ego not to massaged at every #opportunity.

Politics of every kind seems to attract fame and power vultures these days more than people who want to improve society.

The Greens (and especially the Scottish Greens) are the least interested in green issues of any party. It's quite astonishing really. If they actually did focus on them, particularly at this moment in time, they'd be an absolute shoo in.

There's certainly plenty of photos of males 'who identify as women' posting pictures themselves where their 'meat and two veg' are disturbingly obvious - the piss protester and the fucking disturbing white t-shirt and pants guy are just two examples which come to mind.

Or paradoxically, neither are there demands to see the lack of meat and two veg.

It's one post, whereas there are many death and rape threats towards women from male trans people and their allies. Are they representative as well? Or is it wrong to make generalisations?

I agree with you that that's q vile thing to say. However, just because someone has said something vile to you doesn't mean that everyone else now has to agree with you. Nobody (apart from fanatics) says that an appropriate response to Islamophobia is to force everyone to convert to Islam.

I managed to find that tweet. An account with 2 followers, who has made 2 or 3 posts and appears to just troll.

Let's be honest, anyone could be behind that account, it's certainly not full of feminist content.
