Looking forward to him unblocking all the women he's blocked on Twitter and hearing what they have to say. Free speech is for everyone, right?

Why? Did anyone see what replies it was getting?

When I looked it had 39 likes, and the top replies - mostly from women - had around 1k each. They were not supportive.

You'd think that after the utter shitshow of the industrial action and latest ballot, the UCU leadership would reflect on the fact that they are out of touch with the majority of academics. And that they are damaging our credibility with the public. But no . . .

That's not the speech I transcribed that Jo Grady is tweeting, I think it's the bit just before. The UCU has deleted the post about wanting to start a campaign for "actual free speech". Some people can still watch the video but I don't think it appears in the UCU feed any more. There's both a link to an upload (thanks @InvisibleDuck) and a transcript on this thread.

This is a bit tangential and I might be wrong (I can’t say I want to scroll through all his tweets) but has LOJ gone completely silent on trans views since 7th Oct? Like that was his grift for years (along with blaming labour for everything wrong with the country) and then suddenly - zilch.

I just feel like even he saw the sinking ship and has decided to leap to the next social injustice mighty quickly, distancing himself from the wreck.
