Morning all.
I saw this mentioned on another thread last night but thought it worthy of it's own thread as a standalone topic.

Scotgov have launched a consultation into the guidance of delivery of RSHP education in schools.
"....... The revised guidance also includes new sections on the five topics below as well as key learning points for these topics:
*consent and healthy relationships
*faith and belief
*gender inclusive education
*inclusion of understanding about differences of sex development (DSD) / variations in sex characteristics (VSC) / intersex people
*lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) inclusive education"
The consultation closes on 23Nov.
ScotGov consultation

I will be reviewing this and responding but I'm far from an expert and very busy and want to make sure that I am considering points which may not be obvious, particularly in terms of gender woo.

Can we perhaps use this thread to share any thoughts?

Oh what fresh hell are they conspiring to unleash upon the children (and teachers) of Scotland?

Will respond too.

I read it top-level last night and was surprised at how reasonable some parts were, but am worried that when I scrape the surface there'll be some worrisome aspects. They seem to conflate sex and gender throughout but I think we all expected that. And of course seems to be huge bias towards all things woke...

Will need to read in more detail and take in others thoughts on it, am very aware that I'm not entirely up to date on the issues and there are many who are more eloquent on the topic than I....

You might want to move this to the feminism boards for more responses (although it is also a Scotsnet topic)

SoulCaptain · 05/11/2023 14:15

Thanks, have asked for it to be moved

Thanks for raising this.

I haven’t seen anything shared by my kids’ primary and secondary schools.

Am just going to check now on when the closing date is.

(Could you please let us know when it’s been moved?)

Skyvemind · 07/11/2023 12:55

Oops sorry I’ve just realised I’m replying to this on the Feminist board. Thanks.

@Skyvemind yes it's now on the feminist board ;-)
The closing date is 23Nov, so we have some time. Let me know any thoughts you have when you look at it?
