Subversive Behaviour in Bristol!

This post is tongue-in-cheek, really, but I am in Bristol for the weekend and so far, I have:

1. Bought Glinner's book in Waterstones - asked an assistant, who slightly flinched, for it as I couldn't find it. Happy to see that it was on the shelf with the cover facing out!

1. Wore a small suffragette pin on my coat.

1. Had a Tunnocks Tea Cake with my coffee - gasp!!!

What? Not yet arrested?

The sisterhood on here know of some cracking lawyers!

Any second now, I'm sure!

OMG!! You posted a pic of a Tunnocks Tea Cake from your phone, after everything else? Echelon will certainly have passed your details on to Special Branch by now and they'll be monitoring your phone!

I went to Bradford-on-Avon the other week with my daughter and spotted a woman with a suffragette colours tartan scarf, walking with a woman with a suffragette colours knitted hat - I wanted to say something encouraging but I wasn't brave enough. Wiltshire Libraries still haven't got a copy of Tough Crowd in, despite my ordering weeks ago (I've also paid my reservation fee!)

Tell a lie! I've just seen it's available to me, as of today! I was starting to suspect foul play 😜

Ha - well done. I spotted Tough Crowd also facing outwards in Waterstones and was surprised/pleased.

Oh well done you. I live about half an hour away from Bristol and just fear I would combust with rage upon entering the city. My poor DH works with a notorious TRA there. I don't know how he manages it.

Ooooh, I also spotted an Adult Human Female sticker on the level crossing sign, in Bradford on Avon.

Haven't been there but I do travel round the country a fair bit.
I visited the library in Hebden Bridge earlier this year
It was a Sunday, so closed, but I did enjoy the windows...

Maybe it was them! There's also a historic "suffragette house" in nearby Batheaston, not sure if you've spotted that! 😊

There were a lot of rainbowy flags about and rather a lot of blue-haired young 'uns, but nothing I couldn't handle! Your poor DH, does he spend his working days biting his tongue?
