So I was at a venue (theatre) recently which had two loos side by side.
There was a 🧍♂️one and a 🧍♀️one, both with the relevant icon on the door but with same icons above the doorways PLUS that weird icon with the circle and 3 bits sticking out (the male, female and I dunno what bits).
So essentially unisex loos (plus a ‘gender free’ loo with a disabled sign).
The loos were long banks of cubicles - space at the bottom of about 20cm and high ceilings (so cubicles were about 2 and a bit metres high with a massive gap between that and the ceiling. Sanpro bins in each cubicle and sinks in the main area.
The venue also had ‘gender’ bunting up with many stripey flags (pride-extra, and others I didn’t recognise). It wasn’t a ‘LGBetc’ event or series of events. So I guess someone ‘in charge’ called the shots with the loos.
And lots of people were merrily using the disabled loos (I know you ‘can’t tell’ if someone has a disability but there seemed to be an awful lot at this event). I noticed this because the queue for the ‘ladies +’ loo was awfully long - but the ‘mens+’ didn’t have a queue at all.
The woman in front of me said ‘bugger this’ and stomped off the use the ‘mens+’ then came out saying ‘it’s actually quite clean in there’. I should have asked if they had sanpro bins
So anyway - unisex loos are supposed to have fully enclosed cubicles with sinks, right?
