I wasn't aware that the law requires I respect trans women as women. Am I going to end up in gaol along with JKR?

Wishful thinking. And hope that shouting untruths very loudly with threats will cow women into co operating with their own oppression.

I do also always love how important the law is in GI World when it's useful, the Law Is The Law, but ignored/re written/re worded when not.

Whoever posted that on that forum hasn't a clue.

Where it is a proportionate means of meeting a legitimate aim, even those with a GRC can be excluded from a single-sex service. This can apply to toilets / changing rooms / hospital wards / prisons for the legitimate aim/s of safety, privacy and dignity. It can also apply to sports for the legitimate aim of fair competition.

I think I read somewhere that Mark Twain was once asked if one should respect another man's religious beliefs. He said that one should, to the same extent that one respects his belief that his wife is beautiful and his children are intelligent.

It does make me laugh when these people bang on about respect. It's not something you can demand, or force, it comes from within.

I absolutely do not respect gender ideology. And I never will. Even if my life depended upon it.

All you can do is force me to say it. And good luck with that, given, you know, the actual law, ref Maya Forstater.

Yes. There's never much social competence visible in all this. More the kind of incel 'provide me with service now or rahhhhh' kind of dysfunctional relationship with others, particularly women.
