BBC programme contestant: I hate TERFs and Tories

This week’s episode of Ru Pauls’s Drag Race UK had a song challenge where the contestants had to list their “icks”. One contestant answered “TERFs and Tories”.

There was no way this needed to be aired, not all contestants had their “icks” featured and the BBC seems to have forgotten that “TERF” is a slur. I’ve submitted a complaint but if anyone else would like to remind the Beeb that this isn’t OK then their complaints page is here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/complaints

The offending comment is approximately 17 mins in to the episode aired on 12th Oct.

Just to add, the term is also added into lyrics at the 38 minute mark.

It's Ru Paul's Drag Race... where to even start with the stuff they come up with?

The complaint would eventually get passed on to the writers and I think you'd be wasting your time there.

No doubt I'm just the kind of bigot who would give the person in question the ick.

Another thing to add - the songs are available for download. WTAF?!

I will hold up my hands and say I like drag when it’s done well (rather than the lazy woman face which seems to be popular) but this is totally unacceptable.
