Urgent: statistic on murders of women by trans women in UK

I need to source that statistic I read somewhere that the number of women murdered by trans women in the UK is higher than the number of trans women murdered in the UK. Does anyone remember where it came from? Number of murders and date range, etc. Bit upsetting but I need it this morning if anyone knows.

I think it is more that there are more murders committed by trans people in the UK than there are trans people who have been murdered. I’m not sure who they have murdered. Will see if I can find anything to back that up.

Thank you everyone: that's really helpful.

Great work pulling those out, @GrandmaMazur !

The ratio was based on murdered trans people since 2008, and the number of murders in which a trans person was the prime suspect or convicted. I think the cut off was 2017. There have been 3 more murders of trans people since then (in the last 6 years), but I don't have the exact number of homicides where a trans person is the killer.

Thank you very much everyone, just what I needed.

I’d like to know how many men convicted of violent crimes against women identified as trans before they committed the offence compared with those who only identified as trans after they were arrested.

There’s the mass murderer Richard Speck who is described with male pronouns on his wiki page but makes for disturbing reading.

I don’t know if anyone wants him on their team despite some commonalities.

That's an excellent question, I don't know the answer.
