  1. BREAKING: The Rise of the Carrier Bag Police!!!!

@nottspolice telephoned @Kareena_Queena because she rejected a Progressive Pride carrier bag with the Love is Love motif, thereby causing the shopkeeper alarm, harassment and distress, and threatening the shop’s status as a trans inclusive safe space.

  1. In a ten minute phone call, which we have heard, the police advised that the customer was now banned from the shop and warned that she must not hand out any form of literature in the shop’s vicinity.

Yet again, the police are acting as TQI+ enforcers. @SuellaBraverman

Yes.

But à la Pastor Niemöller , no one noticed when it wasn't their turn.

I think it has always been women's turn though, hasn't it?

Women and black people.

Madness

FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper · 26/09/2023 13:36

This is ridiculous. Modern life is increasingly less believable than most of the old comedy farce productions that (for some reason Hmm) don't seem to be made anymore.

Some people will even turn just a standard supermarket-branded bag inside-out on principle, if they're charged for it - on the grounds that they should not have to pay to advertise the shop.

Isn’t ‘love is love’ a peadophile slogan?

You know that, I know that, most of MN knows that; but it seems that the full extent of official police diversity training either astonishingly doesn't know it or the police forces are otherwise nailing their colours to the mast and indirectly campaigning for child rape and sexual abuse to be made legal.

Toseland · 26/09/2023 13:52

Looking forward to the next installment of this bonkers story!

Isn’t ‘love is love’ a peadophile slogan?

I don’t know. But many paedophile slogans work by making a statement about relationship that sounds harmless until applied to a relationship between an adult and a child. So this one would be an obvious candidate.

PatatiPatatras · 26/09/2023 18:27

Paper or plastic?

IcakethereforeIam · 26/09/2023 18:32

I think 'love is love' was originally LGB, but, like so much, it's been co-opted by the TQ+, especially the + 🤮

PatatiPatatras · 26/09/2023 18:35

Yup I think the sub text of consenting adults didn't need to be spelled out when "love is love" or even "if loving you is wrong, i don't wanna be right" was original coined.
Most people still understand it this way. But some of the "words change meaning" brigade are very happy to take this extra literally.

DoItAgainPlz · 26/09/2023 19:13

Could we organise a protest where we hand out literature whilst standing in the vicinity of the shop?

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 26/09/2023 19:28

I would very much like to know more about this

Piccalillipromises · 26/09/2023 19:48

Hang on, let me see if I've got this right: supermarket bosses were complaining recently that their stores are being openly looted because the police no longer bother with shoplifters, but the police will happily turn up when a customer doesn't want a bag with a particular slogan??

The customer should just not have bothered with the checkout at all, then wouldn't have been in any trouble with the fuzz!

lordloveadog · 26/09/2023 20:05

Borg, what's that about the Nottingham flasher? I haven't heard about that.

BorgQueen · 27/09/2023 12:10

50ish Bloke in a blonde wig, sat in M+S cafe and other department stores/ places around Nottinham with his skirt up, flashing his cock and smiling demurely for a selfie ( or perhaps someone else was holding the phone 🤢).
From what I remember, people were reporting him to the Police and they weren’t interested.

lordloveadog · 27/09/2023 13:24

Oh that's grim. And public sexual behaviour is a warning sign.

Can you imagine the cognitive dissonance for Greens.

Not taking a plastic bag = good
Refusing a plastic bag for other than approved reasons = double plus ungood

LOL!

Fenlandia · 27/09/2023 14:36

The general point for me is that this kind of virtue signalling seems designed to identify heretics. I don't wear a rainbow lanyard at work because I don't want to prioritise one group over any other group, so does that make me an eViL BiGot? If I don't wear one of those 'safe with me' badges we saw recently, does that automatically mean I'm an unsafe person?

SinnerBoy · 27/09/2023 16:51

This is absolutely bloody ridiculous and not a little sinister. I wonder if she's minded to make a complaint about the Police? As no crime has been committed, surely they aren't allowed to access her details - if, indeed, the shopkeeper did pass on her card details. The shopkeeper may also have committed a breach of GDPR.

Anyway - on point, as usual:
