The edit function only works if you sacrifice the naice ham.

I was unaware of that part of the ritual. I had been using tinned mackerel!

IcakethereforeIam · 21/09/2023 19:23

I think you can substitute tuna, but not flakes and it has to be in oil not brine. And now you've made me realise what the dilator reminded me of.

Clearly, spam is not sufficient.

I'm so, so angry - our politicians, shops and services, banks, schools, have bought this on women and children, disabled and LGB people and will not listen to any other view. They have boosted and promoted this agenda at all of our expenses - all that is good and decent in the world is being overwhelmed, like a horrible wave of boundary breaking, degradation, porn, indecent exposure and worse - all for men's pleasure.

You are right. It’s essential to the people who do this stuff— as PP said, the fetish takes priority over everything for them. But why does the rest of the world support and enable it?

And why is is that so many people seem oblivious to the actual reason behind a lot of these men's behaviours?

Ofcourseshecan · 21/09/2023 19:59

They are actually leveraging the very concept we are all fighting for - privacy in women's spaces - in order to enact boundary violation for sexual kicks.

They want it for the violations but we can't have it for safety and privacy.

This is exactly it.

The actual reasons have been memory holed.
10 years ago people knew.
Today people either pretend not to know or they've be re-educated and have forgotten what they once knew.

Froodwithatowel · 21/09/2023 20:26

Not to mention that its become highly 'in' to be more wilfully naive and gullible than Noddy to certain things and certain people.

For someone who buys into all this, morality isn't a set standard, or attached to logic, it's all about who you are and what politics you're currently affiliated with, and whether or not you're still the 'in' thing with social capital for enabling or whether the 'in' thing with social capital has now become to eat you alive.

It can spin on a dime, as Brand is discovering.

ArabeIIaScott · 21/09/2023 21:43

Because it's verboten to even suggest it now.

We are not allowed to discuss it.

Twenty odd years back it was well understood that some men did this kind of thing for kicks.

And thanks to Arcane, twenty years from now people will be aware of this particular moment in history via the medium of rhyming couplets! So they will know that we hadn't all lost all sense of societal norms! And some did think WTF!

Toseland · 21/09/2023 22:57

Thank you for all the educational posts - really interesting. I'd love to see some of those laws applied!

And why is is that so many people seem oblivious to the actual reason behind a lot of these men's behaviours?

I think about this often - the answers that I come up with scare me - e.g. maybe there are a lot more preditors than I had previously thought.

FrancescaContini · 22/09/2023 14:50

It’s so clearly a fetish. No woman would ever announce having to undertake any kind of intimate procedure on SM and would certainly not document it as “having to take my knickers off and SPREAD MY LEGS”. Smacks - no pun intended - of soft porn writing.

All taking place on the floor of a public toilet, with complete strangers milling around just metres away in a very busy, very public place. Very disturbing and totally 🤮

Boiledbeetle · 22/09/2023 15:44

There is a film, Dancin' thru the Dark. (1990)

It's a great film.

However you can tell its written by a man, as part way through the film they all go to a nightclub and one of the women lies down on the floor in the women's toilet in the nightclub in order to zip her dress up.

Yeah! no woman was ever going to do that on the floor of a nightclub toilets in the 90's. I doubt things have changed in the last 30 years (oh my god that film is 33 years old. I suddenly feel very very old)

My Mum loves that film. I bought her a remastered DVD for Christmas a few years ago.......I think she has a crush on Con O'Neil.

MavisMcMinty · 22/09/2023 16:48

Yes, I think trans women have probably seen too many films and TV shows where girls and women gather in toilets to reapply make-up/lend each other tampons/cry over rotten boyfriends/take pregnancy tests in front of a group of friends/dry their armpits with the hand driers.

I’m sure I’ve missed a few cliches, feel free to add more.

loislovesstewie · 22/09/2023 16:49

Actually I have never shared a cubicle either , and that seems to happen in films.

Hopelesslydevotedtoshrews · 22/09/2023 16:51

@Boiledbeetle Linda's marriage was made in Heaven, mine was made in Bootle!

Still love that film.

He was very fanciable then! That has no bearing on the fact that i know the film backwards! Nope none whatsoever!

Pass the following message onto your mother...

"Wanna come back to my place for a fuck and a pizza? 😉"

I know what her answer will be!😁

Not realising that these films are usually written by men and most women watching are going "well that never happens"

Pillow fight wearing pink satin “baby doll” 🤢PJs / have a giggly phone call on my bed wearing only underwear, the skimpier the better / get drenched in the rain so that my white clothes become totally see-through but I remain unaware of this

To be fair, I have cried over rotten boyfriends but who hasn’t?

Highly likely that they "forgot" to lock the door too...

Well that would explain the vigorous rubbing of body lotion onto breasts in the communal bathroom from that CBB series a few years ago.

algasport · 22/09/2023 22:13

Asking what lipstick shade that is....
