Buts it's about the objectification of women and how we can say no to that. And about speaking up and getting burned at the stake for it that makes me think of let women speak JKR etc

I'm resurrecting this thread, because at the time any song I thought of adding turned out to be more of the 'I've survived this grim existence in the face of awful misogyny' kind rather than anthemic or celebratory, or terfy.
Bette Nesmith Graham, who invented Liquid Paper correction fluid, was mentioned in recent posts, and also her son Mike Nesmith of the Monkees. That reminded me that he wrote a song in the late 60s called Different Drum which was sort-of 'yeah sure you're pretty but I'm a maaan and must be freeee so goodbye' - very forgettable. But then it was recorded by a very young Linda Ronstadt with the Stone Poneys, and to hear a young woman singing this, in 1967 for heaven's sake! is anthemic I think, and great to sing along to. OK not terfy but can we broaden the parameters?

Sorry to be annoying but in the Vagina Anthem video, does anyone know who the woman is who appears at around 1:28? It's driving me mad.

I'm not sure it's a TERF anthem, but Goldie Lookin' Chain's "Your Mother's Got a Penis" can be regarded as somewhat insensitive to the TQ+ which can be no bad thing! Silly and catchy and dirty!

And again not a TERF anthem really, but IMHO worth a mention here. Goldie Lookin' Chain's 2002 track "Half Man Half Machine". It's a silly song about a man who gets stoned, dresses up as a robot and goes to the shops and engages in kinky, robot-outfit-related sexual behaviour. There's a spoken word conversation at the very end....

Man - "Are you still a robot then, spa?"
Half Man Half Machine - "No, not any more"
Man - "You fucking look, fucking sound like one as well"
Half Man Half Machine - "I am not a robot. I can assure you thank you."

Man - "I fucking think you are"
Half Man Half Machine - "I'm not"
Man - "What are you then?
Half Man Half Machine - "Woman. Called Janet"

I dunno whether the GLC were simply being 100% silly, or were in any way trying to make a point... I suspect the former, but I can't help thinking that even subconsciously they might have hit the nail on the head, because they - just like the vast majority of people - know the truth. On the one hand dressing up like a robot is just silly fun, but remember men, there's gotta be a sexual element somewhere... and oh, what a surprise, this sexual behaviour escalates from robot outfit to cross dressing.

Thanks for having a look! It’s the woman just after Mo/Mo-alike. Younger, glasses and short dark hair. I feel like I’ve seen her loads of times and can’t put my finger on who it is!
