Just saw this on Twitter:

The start of the 2023 XC season today and thanks to new rules from @BritAthletics and @EnglandAthletic for the first time in 8 years, there were only females running in the women’s races. At last, fairness for females in licensed races entered after Mar 31st

Finally! What an amazing achievement for all the women and men who have worked so tirelessly to bring fairness back to women's sport.

Do we know whether the last 8 years have been mixed due to one stubborn person, or a series? Just out of nosiness.

The info on Shewon is the other way around, ie. listing the women who were pushed out of place, but there aren't any entries for Cross Country for the UK.

https://www.shewon.org/

2001: the earliest entries are for 2001, all in Canada for Mountain Biking, and there are a lot of them.

2006: the earliest entry for the UK is 2006, also Mountain Biking - in Canada. Petra Wiltshire competing in DHI Masters World Championships, Women's 35+ division, Sun Peaks, British Columbia, should have taken 1st place.
This page that is linked shows the athlete and record that should be asterisked or expunged:

2019: the earliest UK entry for a UK event, Naomi Lovesay, Track Cycling, UCI Track Cycling World Championship, F35-39 500m Time Trial, should have taken 2nd place.

The analysis page is stark!

Worst sport is cycling with 236 places lost.

For all competitions:

1st place lost: 193
2nd place lost: 174
3rd place lost: 166

There is a form to submit info that is missing - the links usually give info about who took the woman's place:
