Meghan Murphy Event Protested and Attacked in San Francisco

Meghan Murphy is reporting and uploading videos of TRAs surrounding the hotel which was hosting a Women's Declaration International event and where Meghan was listed as one of the speakers.

She says "...eight of them scaled the fence and rushed ⁦@StopXXErasure⁩ and I, tried to attack us. We ran. We had a couple of guys with us who they also attacked (unsuccessfully). It was terrifying. They also hit the hotel GM."

The consequences of not having adequate police presence and management. Very scary.

These arseholes are completely out of control.

It's going to take a woman being badly hurt or worse before police take any action.

I'm not very confident that that would make a difference at this point. I am sure that it would be fine and probably her own fault.

I was just watching this vid on X. They reportedly attacked the Hotel manager as well.

So, internationally no women’s groups can meet without protest if they hold different views now. And the groups protesting declare they are the most tolerant and compassionate.

Video of the police seeming to agree that the San Francisco police department had not sent adequate numbers of police to the event, as the women are told to move while the TRAs remain in place. They're essentially acknowledging that the TRA protesters include numerous people who could turn violent, if they try to intervene, and won't respond to orders to move away from the police. They know the women aren't the threat here.

And reports of the San Francisco Chronicle publishing this article prior to the convention with the heading "Anti-trans group, advertising as feminists, descends on S.F. for annual convention."

The writer is "a health reporter who writes about infectious diseases, stem cells, neuroscience and consumer health topics like fitness and nutrition." Good luck finding an article on any of those topics on their page at the Chronicle.

Well, this TRA protest has produced the most hard hitting insult to date. Apparently "TERFS Don't Tip".

Well, it actually reads "TERFS DONT TIP" but I am the generous type of Terf, so have lent them an apostrophe.

The event is WDI USA’s second annual national convention. I wouldn’t exactly call it “a Meghan Murphy event” lol, though she is great!

Why are the police allowing them to obstruct the highway? It’s unsafe for the misogynists themselves, never mind for any car drivers trying to use it.

I also apologise, on re-reading I realise you weren't being nitpicky.

Meghan Murphy is a recognisable name, so I put her in the thread title and she was also one of the lead speakers for the event. Plus, Meghan is similar to PP, in that the TRAs focus in on any event which she's involved with.

I have no idea. Kearny is a major thoroughfare and the police let them occupy it for hours.

The hotel had to lock down almost all entrances and the cops had to create lines around them to keep the cowards from rushing in to punch women like they punched the hotel manager. Source: I volunteer for WDI USA and am in touch by text with many women attending.

Hoping everyone is okay and safe from these absolute oddbods. The police need to get a grip on the issue. Women have to be able to meet and talk in 2023 without violent threat.
