Ok not strictly FWR but think it’s worth posting as it shows the arrogance and entitlement of some men who think their wants and needs trump safeguarding .

Hope the GDC stand firm on this

So despite being convicted of attempting to groom a 13 year old and being on the sex offenders register, he thinks it’s unfair he’s no longer able to treat children and is fighting the ban.

There seems to be an issue with a number of medics who have been found guilty of sexual abuse / child abuse being given a pass by their regulatory bodies to continue to practice.

From reading the original documents on the GDC website he's currently suspended from practice completely (quite rightly) & seems to be appealing his general suspension rather than children in particular. The GDC are very strict and I'd imagine he'll be struck off when it gets to full hearing, he's currently at an early stage in the process but has been immediately suspended whilst awaiting his hearing as it was felt he was to dangerous to be allowed to continue in the interim. The GDC get a lot wrong but it seems they're doing everything right so far. One of the tests they use is 'what woukd a resonable lay person think' and i think we can all agree a resonable person would not support a convicted sex offender as a HCP. Interestingly he didn't show or send legal representation for the most recent hearing so I'm not sure where the mail are getting this story from unless it's just not been updated on the GDC website yet.

The self entitlement of this arsehole is staggering. Far from being shamed and embarrassed he's loudly campaigning to be given access to children. What a sleazeball.

And part of clearly identifying the men are the problem, is also to be able to ensure that children and young people are not prey to men.

Dont fall for the fake title that MNHQ have given this "Sex and Gender" - that was just a cop out to stop all the women who claimed to be feminists but didn't want to have to acknowledge that TRAs are just another manifestions of MRAs.

And if you look at the URL for all the FWR it clearly says women's rights.

If you let the misnomer of sex and gender dictate how and what you should discuss then the tiny minority that created the pointless split of discussion about issues important to women, then you are letting those who want to divide us, win.
