Long shot- anyone know a Norah who was involved in women’s organisations up to the late 60’s?

I have just come into possession of a small wooden box which needs some TLC and is inscribed ‘ Nora Douglas, in recognition of her services on the National Joint Committee of Working Women’s Organisations’. As this is bit of woman’s history it would be lovey if there were any relatives about. I would assume she could be someone’s late grandmother ?

have only been able to find this on the internet.
Will give the box the repair and respect it deserves.

It could be this Norah - see clipping about a sherry party 🙂. She was a member of Flintshire County Council in 1972, and previously had been a parish councillor at Saltney.

There is a possible Norah who died as recently as 2017, so she might still have been a member!

@AppleTreeOwner I have a friend who lives in that neck of the woods and I think used to be a Saltney CLP member. I've sent her a link to this thread and asked if she knows of Norah or her family, so will report back if she can make a connection for you.

@AppleTreeOwner - just to update you that friend is still trying to track down Norah's family and/or friends. DFriend wasn't in Saltney CLP but a CLP nearby, but does know people in the Saltney branch who might know of Norah/her family. She's making enquiries. Tried to DM you, sorry, but no dice, so hope you don't mind me resurrecting your thread without much to report, sorry!
