Would that help her maybe and be a two fingers up to the cowardly c**ts who have cancelled her gigs promotional interviews etc?

I want the money to get to Roisin not the music execs tho so not sure if this is the most effective thing to do??

I am listening to it on iTunes and like it. Thanks TRAs. Sunlight on your daft views, and new music discovered.

Given the update, the only thing putting me off buying it is that scary cover!

I like bandcamp. When you buy through them, you can add a message to the artist, which is nice. And they pay the artists fairly. Certainly compared to Evil Spotify.

It is reassuring to know that the proceeds won't be going towards any of these lobbying groups charities.

Someone (and it looks like a journalist) deliberately put that lie out there to force the record label to do so, because it wouldn't be a good look for the label to then say "we're not donating the money to charity".

Bought

Very glad, but not surprised, that it backfired. Loads of people who had never heard of Roisin Murphy suddenly became aware of her and decided to buy her album in solidarity. No need at all for the record company to advertise it.

She couldn't have hoped for better if she'd planned the whole thing as a publicity stunt.

Maybe this will be a lesson to trans ideologues about what happens when you try to cancel someone. Then again, maybe not - they aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

This is so true..I am a new fan, I didn't even know she sang Sing it Back! I love the album and have been playing it all day - it's amazing x

Listening now, giving it some 'proper attention'. Played it the other night when a mate was round, and we were chatting, but... yeah, I liked it. Some echoes of other bands I've liked (Massive Attack?). Sharp stuff, anyway.
