Cloth pads not pants from companies that don't refer to me as a body function?

Any recommendation for non captured reuseasble eco period pads? I know a lot of them are into woo, despite profiting off women's body functions.
I have the pants already and don't find them practical as obviously requires you to whip off in public/or whilst wrangling a toddler. I bleed blood not water or blue liquid so need a medium to heavy flow variety.
Ideally would tumble dry but I know most of them don't.

Tia.

I use the ones made by Honour Your Flow and recommend them. They’re expensive but they are great quality and I’ve had most of mine for years and years. I tumble dry them (not sure I’m meant to) and they don’t seem to have been negatively affected.

I second Honour Your Flow pads - much easier to care for than period pants. I usually get the seconds or discontinued lines in the reduced section - can be washed in machine & tumble dried.

Third on Honour Your Flow. Lovely, comfy, long-lasting pads and yes, they know what a woman is. The night pads especially are brilliant.

Great. Stupid question but so the 8-10 16-22 etc sizes refer to dress size? Am a bit lost.

Another stupid question, what is a pul?

OP posts:
EmpressaurusOfCats · 31/08/2023 21:21

Yes to sizes. I had to look pul up, it’s a waterproof fabric.

cherryassam · 31/08/2023 21:21

Yes I think the numbers are dress sizes, the pads are sized to fit appropriately in knickers of those sizes if that makes sense. PUL is the waterproof layer that stops leaks.

Ecolily know what women are, I think they officially cannot go in the dryer, but mine have more than once accidentally. Having said that, they dont exactly come out of the washer soaking wet, I find less than an hour soft side up on a window ledge or radiator or on the line and they are dry.

XenaEcoWarriorPrincess · 31/08/2023 21:25

AHH thanks. Sadly seconds not available in my post baby size and as much as I like to dream I won't see size eight again this lifetime.
Do second sales regularly occur? When should I look out for them? Happy to wait a few weeks but would like it sorted before next cycle!

I usually put mine on a socktopus.

Thanks all, have gone for some ecolily this time and will keep an eye on seconds if I need to update.

Every Sunday HYF do Happy Hour where everything has a 10% discount I think.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 31/08/2023 22:50

Luxury Moon sell loads of different pads and the owner knows what a woman is.

namechanger563 · 31/08/2023 23:35

I just bought mine off Amazon. No marketing or gender woo. Just washable pads. I had very heavy periods and used them with a cup. I had endometrial ablation in the end but was quite happy with this set up. Wish I'd got on to it sooner, would have saved a few blushes when I used to regularly flood at work.

I've used Earthwise girls before and they've been fab!

Mmm, are you sure? I distinctly remember quitting their official FB group because of gender ideology tosh, although I can't remember exactly what was said.

I only recall the irritation, unfortunately. It could be that I misread?

Redbird87 · 19/10/2023 12:08

Just checked out Honor Your Flow, they don't use the word "woman" once in their about us page.

ETA omg disregard, there is a company called Honor Your Flow, not HONOUR Your Flow😂
