TERF dreams

I had another last night - they happen occasionally - and woke up with a whole list of things I'd say in the situation if it was true.

Mine was about an educational establishment doing diversity training, and I stood up and heckled during an egregious bit of gender woo, pointing out that it was wrong to teach theory as fact. I accused the woman (for of course it was a straight white woman who had the bright idea of doing the training) of introducing divisive and regressive nonsense to young minds. It was quite satisfying.

The odd time transgenderism has intruded into my dreams, it’s caused the opposite sort, eg a nightmare in which a man dressed as a woman was staring at me, and I woke up with my heart hammering so hard it practically burst out of my chest. Another time I dreamed of a narrow corridor like those horrible new unisex loos, where a man could step out if any one and block your exit. There was a horrible feeling of menace. I was glad to wake up fast.

OP you could try a repost on the sex & gender board if you’re really invested in finding mutual terf-dreamers to share your visions of trans-infested nightmares.

What with OP and someone waking up with hammering heart because a "man dressed as a woman was staring menacingly", that's not healthy.

I have occasional panics or rehearse conversations.

I have two young relatives who are at risk or undergoing treatment. I've had the 'it's ok, life expectancy for trans people is only 30, so it's fine for me to take experimental drugs and have experimental surgery, both of which are irreversible, and if you disagree I might kill myself' spiel.

Literally.

It's appalling. Young people medicalised for life.

Oh god, is feminism chat for Liberal feminists? I didn't realise, I (stupidly as it turns out) thought that we were all rad fems here. I'll get this topic hidden then.

Out of interest where did you initially post? A few of the first comments were eye-opening, sadly I have met many women who are manmaidens, but it always saddens me to see it

I had a nightmare last night about frickin "Sarah Jane Baker". I swear it took me around 5 minutes to calm down after I woke up in a panic. 😖

I had a dream in which someone who used to be a friend but is now going to women's rights demonstrations in TRA garb to sabotage them (one non-binary identifying daughter was all it took to expose the misogynist thug behind his smile) had a change of heart. I was quite disappointed when I woke up. (I have dreams about reconciliation quite often, sometimes going back to incidents I'd forgotten.)

Yeah, I had no idea that the two sections were so antagonistic! I am obviously Gender Critical, but assumed GC people were allowed to post in the feminist chat section. I assumed it was called chat as the topics there could be lighthearted, and my thread is meant to be lighthearted. I didn't realise that chat = insult-throwing TRAs. 😬

My GF had a dream I stood up in a crowded event and shouted "THIS IS RUBBISH!"

She thinks it may have been a Sam Smith concert, but I'm sure it was me at a Mermaids AGM or EPATH conference.
