Has anyone noticed a shift on various media channels in the UK , that the term LGBTQ + is being used less and seems to have now become non binary.?Several times today in relation to women in football, but also eg on Woman’s Hour in relation to anything. I really have no idea who they are including…bisexuals? Lesbians? So called transmen? Trans identified males. It does make a change from the lumping together of the T with the rest, but does anyone know who they are talking about?

Nonbinary isn't a replacement term for LGBTQ+, it's one component of the +. Or a subset of the T.

There is no such thing as the LGB TQ+ "community."
LGB are all based on sexual attraction. Transsexuals tend to NOT seek publicity and prefer to fade into the background and get on with their lives. The "Q+" rabble are just attention seeking saddos who promote the repulsive "Queer theory" which wants to break down sexual boundaries with children!

It's nothing to do with sexuality; it's a gender identity. Whereas transmen and transwomen identify as the gender opposite to their sex, nonbinary people identify as neither gender - or as both simultaneously (not to be confused with gender fluid, ehicb is identifying sometimes as one and sometimes as the other).

As I said NB are just attention seeking children.🙄

What I have noticed is the I is being dropped which is good news.

But why are these confused people now the ones that have to be included in any discussion about women?

It's surely because of the belief that "women" includes transwomen already, but non binary people (of both sexes) feel they are excluded by the term "women" because they believe it's a gender ID, not a sex.

Neither transwomen or NB males and females appear to give a shit that saying "women" is a gender ID then excludes all the women who don't believe they have a gender ID. Wrong sort of exclusion/discomfort/risk of harm, apparently.

The category "men" is rarely troubled.
