They all seem to be a "Dogs Trust Companion" - does that mean they are being fostered and should not be outed in public? ie being associated with an MP may harm their changes of being adopted!

Done. In fact, it let me vote twice. I am partial to a Cairn terrier, but I kept my focus on the task in hand.

Voted, but I have to ask who is going to vote for one of the dogs off just a photo of the human that the dog owns?

Having worked for Dog’s Trust, and DD still does, I’m going to point out that some dogs will have found their way in to Dog’s Trust rescue after having been seized. I imagine that having a picture of the dog with their high profile owner might not be a great idea. That said I’m not sure why they would be putting themselves forward in the first place, but who knows.
