Today I was invited to share my personal storing of being a college athlete.

I was shocked by what happened.

I stated “Current 10 year old girls cannot live out the same dream [I had] as long as men are allowed to compete in womens sports. So now no matter how hard girls work…” And then I was cut off and told by the librarian I would be removed, so then I continued talking saying “biological girls” and “biological men” to finish sharing my story. The librarian then told me to leave and if I won’t leave he will shut the entire meeting down.

The librarian then again told me to leave so I directly said why am I being asked to leave and he told me “Because you are misgendering, you were talking about men in women sports.”

The group putting on the event had the conference room reserved at the public library to host the event at Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library.

i hope the women sue. This was a disgrace.

I should not be so surprised at how many men seem to enjoy preventing women from speaking now that gender identity ideology has given them a free pass to do so.

She didn't mention trans anything. She said men.

So by saying she was misgendering, he was the one saying that transwomen are men.

Looking at the crowd they had a huge turn out of trans activists. This event was 'allowed' to happen, in my opinion, to shut it down. Because if you cannot describe a male accurately - then you are never going to be able to hold an event discussing male athletes in female sports. It was never going to get started, and sadly, it did not. This is going to be the case I think for a growing % of events in the future.

That taking a booking and then either cancelling it at the last minute or preventing it from occurring due to 'official' guideline infringements is an effective means to disrupt these events.

Also, you can't argue with zealots.

I'm really angry about this. It's a clear violation of our First Amendment. Libraries like this are funded by the public. It's a public space and Americans have freedom of speech.

She also wasn't talking about anyone's gender. Some male athletes have a feminine gender identity, some have a masculine gender identity. Their gender identities are not the issue, and the facts she was talking about apply to sexually dimorphic bodies, which seemingly people have independently of their gender identity. Why did he even link this to gender?
