WRN Wales and LGB Cymru protest Stonewall Cymru conference in Cardiff

Women & men gave out leaflets outside a Stonewall Cymru Workplace conference today.
The conference was £350 a pop!
Groups represented were @WRNWales @womenoutspoken @LGBAlliesCymru & @MensNetwork1

Stonewall Cymru staff objected to our leaflets & required our removal. Our leaflets caused ‘harm' and 'upset’ to them, they weren't 'happy’ at us being there & there was a suggestion at one point we may be subject to being ‘forcibly removed’
Not very inclusive!

The leaflets highlighted that Stonewall;
Inhibit diversity of thought
Has misled employers on the Equality Act
Promotes policies that discriminate against women & girls
Divides the LGB community
Demonises lesbians, the previous CEO comparing them to ‘sexual racists’

Undermines the reality of homosexual people as those who are ‘same-sex attracted’
Attacks the Equality & Human Rights Commission

Our groups were polite & peaceful, engaging those arriving in polite conversation
Some freely shared their concerns re Stonewall's 'inclusion'
Security and staff from the venue were sent to ‘deal’ with the group & require us to stop handing out leaflets and leave the vicinity. At one time, there were 6 male members of staff outside to deal with the terrifying spectacle of law-abiding, courteous lesbians & gay men

A Stonewall Cymru representative came out with a handful of leaflets taken from delegates, ceremoniously tore them up and binned them

Stonewall’s boast of ‘inclusion’ is limited to those who agree fully with their doctrine. It's a sham. It's very much NO DEBATE
An intolerant organisation that still permits no debate and works to silence those with a different view

Given the jeopardy they have put organisations in (Reindorf review and the Bailey judgement) why would ANY workplace want to be involved with them?

Were they masked?
Did they carry placards threatening violence AND sexual violence against women delegates ?
Did they have megaphones / loud music to drown out proceedings?
Did they threaten to burn the place down?
Did they demand the venue hosting this is cancelled?
Were they led by convicted criminals issuing threats of violence?

As that's what people on the Stonewall side of history do to women when we meet. 😑

So I did. I also forgot blocking doors and stairways along with attempted and actual physical assault.
That's the trouble when recording the actions of bullies and misogynists - so much evidence to remember.

Leaflets caused harm? Did they get a papercut?

Compare and contrast. Julie Bindel and Heather Brunskell-Evans on the stairs inside a venue unable to get into the booked room because masked activists are blocking the stairs. This was Bristol in 2018, so I imagine most of these young thugs are now in the workplace.

Oh that picture with the big security lads in suits looking like they’d quite like to be somewhere else. And I don’t mean listening to the speakers or in a workshop or whatever 😁

I am perhaps irrationally annoyed by them binning the leaflets not recycling them. Or rather, it added to my anger with them - that they don’t care about the environment either. Maybe we should tell them Mother Earth has declared herself non-binary & will be using the neopronouns Earth/Earthself (while Earth would prefer people call Earth Parent Earth Earth understands habituation & does not mind Mother Earth)? Clearly clearly far from the biggest issue, but sometimes the small things people [fail to] do speak volumes. Given the venue calculate the carbon footprint of the conference lunches there will have been a recycling bin available. Not that - for avoidance all doubt - binning the leaflets would have been acceptable if they’d used the correct bin. There’s just an extra layer of nastiness, spite, callousness, selfishness etc to it iyswim?

Excellent work though people - & bit of a self-own by Stonewall “stop calmly & politely telling the truth! It’s harming us!” while they advocate for literal VAWG.
