Asked Ds... "no only women can breastfeed" I replied ...

One google later... "you're wrong! A man has been discovered who can breastfeed"

Where to begin?! 🙈

Is that the man that induced lactation using drugs and then fed some sort of man boob cocktail to the baby?

XX can breastfeed.
If they have been pregnant.

XY surely can’t produce nutritional healthy milk.

If you need drugs and mechanical aids to do something I could do while asleep with nothing but a baby, 'can' is doing some really heavy lifting.

I mean I'm sure I 'can' run fast with those banned bouncy shoes, a personal trainer, steroids and testosterone. Can I though? No.

Well actually we have to take that man’s word for it that he is breastfeeding, he may have lifted an infant to his nipple and some bodily fluid may have come out, but what he was not doing is breastfeeding.

Men can breastfeed in much the same way as humans can fly.

Breastfeeding is an interactive process between the infant and the mothers body; we adapt the milk to suit the infants needs. That includes making colostrum for the first few days. We aren't just excreting some random fluids. Receptors in the mammary glands read the infants saliva, and trigger changes in the milk.

Mammary glands are part of the female reproductive system, so they develop during puberty. They are present even in flat chested women, and only rudimentary in males.
