Bristol Create Centre - 2 public toilets. One for men and one for men and women.
I know that Bristol is Woke Central, but sometimes it really annoys me.

So, I've had an email back saying that this is the 1st stage of making all their toilets gender neutral, when budgets allow.
Before I respond, don't they have to provide at least one single-sex toilet?

I don’t think there are any legal requirements for general businesses/institutions/etc to provide single sex toilets for their customers/users. But some types of business do. East Devon District Council have a web page on who needs to provide what (though I haven’t checked these details against the actual legislation):

Public toilet provision in food businesses - East Devon

The Council have byelaws requiring a certain number of toilets must be provided wherever people are invited to sit inside a business and eat or drink.

(And those requirements may be set at the local level rather than nationally, in which case you’d need to check with whichever council covers the centre).

Sounds like a bloody awful country to be female in.

Ironically, Canada is very progressive in many other aspects that support women such as one year of paid maternity leave (though god knows if its been relabelled parental leave) and treating cohabitation as equal to marriage after two years in the case of separation and division of assets etc.

It’s just that liberal and progressive values have been hijacked by TRAs commensurate with precious little evidence of critical thinking by many women who want to ‘be kind’ along with captured institutions led by mostly men. One friends’ DH who used to be a Principal of a high school in Canada was so smug about how the teenage girls were ‘perfectly fine’ with moving to gender neutral toilets.

Frustratingly no one speaking up for young girls and no push back when toilets became ‘gender neutral’ for women more widely. All seen as very ‘pat on your back’ virtue signalling progressive.
