Guardian does pregnant men again

This time with photos of women swimming while pregnant and calling themselves sea horse dads. One of them actually says they want to normalise it. Severely delusional at best. and another that having a child does not make them a woman or detransitioned. I doubt that they will be able to feed the child from their mutilated bodies, even if they come off testosterone. Sad that women think this is ok.

Seahorses are always referred to as if they're all male - the female seahorses (who produce the large gametes) are erased by the male-default. Do these human females identify as seahorses or human men? Maybe worth noting that the male seahorse is a hands-off dad once the baby seahorses are born. Though occasionally he does eat them.

There are mastectomy scars visible in one of the photos, dysphoria seems to be somewhat selective...

In the absence of Freddie McConnell, the guardians favourite seahorse, I assume this is an American herd??

I will never understand trying to opt out of womanhood and then doing the most uniquely female thing there is. And being pregnant and giving birth doesn’t trigger dysphoria, but hearing the words “woman” and “mother” is unbearable, apparently.

Some have redefined womanhood the way Long Chu defines femaleness (blank eyes and an expectant *hole) and wish to escape that definition, though of course implicitly assigning to all other female people that masochistic and submissive and pornified label.

But the deep reason is that they have appropriated the word 'woman' and forced a different meaning on it which has nothing to do with being of the female sex. The problem is that by agreeing to this new definition the Guardian erases all of us who are women just because we are female and adult. Now we have no word for our group.

Sometimes I take a step back from all this delusion and look at how normalised all this craziness has become. It reminds me of the rich people in the Capital in the Hunger Games who would have surgery to look like cats, take drugs to make themselves sick in order to eat more food and the way they were totally fine with children killing each other on TV for entertainment. It's absolutely nuts!

If only they had reflected just for a tiny moment about why transmen are always in the news for being pregnant whereas transwomen make the news for being CEOs, millionaires, in govt positions, govt advisors, being in notable positions in the military, winning competitions, etc etc.

One of the reasons I stopped reading the Guardian.

Romitofrincone · 08/08/2023 18:35

None of the useful idiots championing this ever ever thinks of the children of these self-hating women and the effects of being raised by a delusional mother who gaslights them into thinking she is their father. What happens when the child realises they are being lied to, but must go along with the fantasy lest they are labelled a bigot?

And that’s just the emotional and social side of this mess. There must be physical effects too of being incubated and fed by a woman taking artificial male hormones.

Truthlikeness · 08/08/2023 18:50

Testosterone can cause birth defects. This should not be normalised.

HiKenHiKenHiKen · 08/08/2023 20:05

I wasn’t allowed to eat fucking soft cheese while pregnant but these asshats can pump their bodies full of experimental shit while pregnant and are applauded for it. Hypocrisy at its finest.

WeeBisom · 08/08/2023 21:56

I bet I will never see a photo shoot of all the transwomen ceos, actors, directors, etc swimming in a lake naked. But seriously, I feel like transmen are only ever in the news for being naked, lactating, pregnant, or menstruating.
