I never watch Strictly, but it seems that her being on it is causing some conflict.

I think this news is a couple of days old and am sure other news outlets have covered it.

But thought it worth adding to the thread.

Hadn't realised it was as much as 2 years ago.

Wonder how much pressure the "negotiations" with BBC have continued to put pressure on her.

Really glad for her that she's had some financial compensation. Can't imagine what she's been through in the past couple of years

I’m glad she has the validation, to be honest, and that the naysayers have to admit there was enough fire the Beeb were obliged to pay her.

Agreed. And I'm really appalled to see Digital Spy and similar outlets have given Pernice a platform to diss her after the bullying accusations were upheld.

Other female contestants have backed AA up, but that hardly matters - he was found to have done it, and shouldn't be given space to gaslight her in the media, full stop.

I don't agree with AA's views on many things, but I think she was really brave calling this out and deserved so much more. Exposing the bullying culture at Strictly (and therfore helping others to come forward) was important and I'm sure personally very damaging to her. She's owed every penny and more.

Totally agree. Unfortunately there are some who still believe he was totally innocent and that she was just a troublemaker, so his gaslighting will still attract eyeballs I guess

I was a bit shocked to hear what the ‘not so bad’ allegations that were found, were. They were pretty bad, for him to be crowing about it.

There’s an article in the daily mail today about Giovanni but can’t read it.

I never heard any specifics of what the allegations were - where can I find that info?

I read it on here I think- but I find feminists on here pretty accurate so don’t tend to worry about checking sources.

Suggest you start at the beginning of this thread. It covers from when there was first publicity about there being an issue, and gradually more came out. Including a revealing interview she did with newsnight (I think it was from memory).
