https://genevievegluck.substack.com/p/germany-trans-activist-parents-publicly

This starts with a report of a young person who identifies as 'trans', and some concerning overlap between the child's parenting and their marketing of BDSM products and services.

It goes on to describe a little about the current state of 'gender' and women's rights in Germany, including attacks on a journalist who has tried to research the story. It ends by reporting on the following group for young people:

'Last month, a “BDSM Youth” group which promotes sadomasochism to teens was spotted at a Pride event in Munich, prompting criticism on social media. The organization, “BDSM Jugend,” is a registered non-profit that provides “youth work in the areas of BDSM and sex education,” and has chapters across the nation.'

I think it's logical. If it's possible to change sex, it should be possible to change it as often and as many times as you want.

I see your point. I’m just surprised they’re considering it in Germany of all places, where they put so much emphasis on order, rules and regulations.

Oh, trafficking and sex exploitation are very organised.

Legalized Prostitution In Germany Looks Like A Living Nightmare

When German anti-prostitution advocates talk about the situation of prostitution in Germany, we hear the same responses, over and over: “You’ve got to be kidding!” or “How is this possible?” When we do presentations in other countries, people in the audience will often start to cry or ask for a break after 15 minutes to get some fresh air. The same presentations in Germany cause outrage as well, but we’ve noticed that people have become so accustomed to the situation, their emotional response is subdued. In fact, German men will often openly and proudly out themselves as sex buyers at abolitionist events. There is no shame in being a commercial sex buyer in Germany. This is an obvious and alarming sign that decades of legalized prostitution have shaped society.

“Flat-rate brothels” offer all-inclusive deals similar to all-you-can-eat buffets.” In some cases, snacks and drinks are included in the deal. A flat-rate brothel chain made headlines when, on its opening day in 2009, 1,700 men lined up to get in. The long lineups outside women’s rooms lasted until closing time when many of the women collapsed from exhaustion, pain, injuries, and infections. It was shut down a year later for human trafficking.

Flat-rate brothels are very common in Germany, as well as “tabuslos,” meaning “no taboos.” In practice, this translates to “everything without any protection.” As a result, STDs are on the rise in Germany (HIV rates have gone up after several years of stagnation), and it’s common for married men to infect their wives.

Competing for customers means that brothel chains offer gambling games with the chance of winning a free hookup. A brothel in Berlin gives customers a “collection card” like coffee shops do — five visits will grant you a 50% rebate, and your 11th visit is free.
**
In Germany, both convenience and frugality are key, and patrons can go to parking garages for drive-in sex, or visit stalls called “Verrichtungsbox” (“getting things done” boxes). They can now even order women the way one would order a pizza thanks to a mobile app produced last year.

@RethinkingLife That’s so grim 😞

@Igneococcus Helen Joyce's book (originally "Trans") is due to be published in German translation on German Amazon early next year. A good move, but way too late unfortunately. Here's the pre-order page:

@RethinkingLife Grim reading, but, unfortunately, not surprising to me. Women advertising their services took up about a third of a page in the Saturday edition of my local newspaper.
And everyone knew where the local brothel was, I drove past it at least twice a day.
There is a local spot where ladies would offer their services as "street prostitutes", right next to the motorway exit to make the most of passing men. Not sure that still exists.

The big flat rate one was not too far from where I grew up and was, apparently, eventually taken over someone who is rather infamous in the area. That guy made millions on the back of women who had to work in his establishments.
He was accused of human trafficking, but I'm not sure what came out of it as this was after I had moved away.
All I know is that this w...... now lives in Dubai and lives of those millions.

Makes me sick

German 'mainstream' has completely gone to the dogs.

It is no surprise that the AfD polls around 2nd most popular party: Many Germans are fed up with the powers that be (politics and media) pushing this and a lot of other things.

Meanwhile the 'progressives' cry that it is media's fault that people jump to the AfD completely not taking responsibility for their own behavior.

I'm really not surprised that the AfD are polling so high. Would never vote for them come hell or high water, but I can see what attracts people to vote for some one who is, ostensibly, not part of the political establishment.

And initiatives like the new "Selbstbestimmungsgesetz" will only ostracise more people and drive them towards extremist parties.

During Pride month, every talk show. Every. One. Had the host talking about love and trans rights and making quips about women having issue with trans women in sports being bigots. It made me seethe.
This whole thing is thoroughly depressing and I too can see how your every day German is lulled into voting for the hard right such as the AfD. It’s madness but so is the alternative (no pun intended).

Maerchentante · 25/08/2023 08:35

I arrived in Munich on the Sunday of CSD (Pride) weekend. There were posters explaining "Pride flags" on every lamp post on Marienplatz.
Could be a good thing, but I saw about half a dozen of them and all of them were Gender this and Gender that. Loads of Transgender Pride flags, too.

RealityFan · 25/08/2023 10:02

As a man, I'm not immune to very primeval drives that pretty much are defined by my XY status. But even I need a shower after reading all that.

I always thought Germany would be the last country to fall to this shit, gosh was I mistaken.

Maybe in a decade, these 1700 men queuing up at the brothel will have just transwomen awaiting them.

I mean, Pride tells us it's transphobic and sexual racism for a hetero man to shun a "woman".

Not an expert on German politics, is there any chance this law will not be passed?

Isn't Germany where they fostered kids with paedophiles so that they would be loved?

(Just checked, and yes it was)

This is unbelievable. What the hell were they thinking?!

This is unbelievable. What the hell were they thinking?!

People will do remarkable things if they perceive them to be markers of progressive thinking.

The educators' notes indicate that they placed a very strong emphasis on sex education. Almost every day, the students played games that involved taking off their clothes, reading porno magazines together and pantomiming intercourse.
According to the records, a "sex exercise" was conducted on Dec. 11 and a "fucking hour" on Jan. 14. An entry made on Nov. 26 reads: "In general, by lying there we repeatedly provoked, openly or in a hidden way, sexual innuendoes, which were then expressed in pantomimes, which Kurt and Rita performed together on the low table (as a stage) in front of us."

The Sexual Revolution and Children: How the Left Took Things Too Far

Germany's left has its own tales of abuse. One of the goals of the German 1968 movement was the sexual liberation of children. For some, this meant overcoming all sexual inhibitions, creating a climate in which even pedophilia was considered progressiv...

Not an expert on German politics, is there any chance this law will not be passed?

It has to go through parliament, but the coalition has enough votes to get it through parliament. Unless, of course, enough coalition party MPs find their conscience and reject it.
After that it has to go through the second chamber, Bundesrat, which is made up of the heads of the 16 states. Once it passes there, the president has to sign it to become law. But that is only a formality like here when the king has to sign a law.

The scene with John Cleese as the matter of fact sex education schoolmaster from Python's The Meaning Of Life comes to mind.

MrGHardy · 25/08/2023 18:56

Today on their instagram page Der Spiegel magazine had probably half a dozen posts about the Selbstbestimmungsgesetzt. One more biased than the other. German mainstream media is completely 'woke'.
