I've just completed an EDI survey for an (international) academic society I am member of. It was mainly: 'are we inclusive enough and what else we should do to increase diversity'.
It had the typical annoying terminology ('authentic self', 'describe your gender', etc) but was at least was inclusive of minority groups that I have not seen many times being taken into account (eg working-class background or non-English speakers).
What surprised me though, was that religion was never mentioned. Not once.
I am an atheist, so it does not affect me directly, but I found this not only odd and ironic, but almost discriminatory.
Is this something religious people come accross often?
