Hi all

I have just emailed my MP about Sarah Jane Baker being held in a women's prison.
I'd also urge you all to report trans pride twitter who want death to all terfs as they think this is a rational and propositions response to our apparent violence to the police. Let's get this attention now.

Proportional response. As we incite genocide by misgendering or some nonsense so it's OK to threaten us with death now.

As if it is, the government have bare faced looked the general public in the face and lied to them.

I've just read about it on the other thread. It's horrific and well, incompetent. He's a danger to everyone and he's stated that he wants to hurt women, so why in the name of sanity have they put him in a women's prison?

He WILL hurt someone.

I knew that he'd tortured his relative, but hadn't realised that he'd been a young lad and that they'd orally raped him, as well as torturing him and leaving him to die. He should be in Rampton.

I don't think this is confirmed. KPSS is looking into it and said they'll update when they have information. So I wouldn't recommend writing until the facts are established.

I hope very much this rumour is wrong. If it isn't, this is going to be a PR disaster for the government and they will deserve it.

Does SJB have a GRC? A person I am engaging in a discussion women is all about 'well if they have a GRC they're legally women and belong in a women's prison. End of.' This person is male, ofc.

It isn't confirmed. If you write, the best you'll get is a bland response back about the policy. Or if it turns out not to be true, you might get a "we should be careful about speculation on such a sensitive matter" kind of response. Pointless until we know.

The government statement was that a GRC would not be relevant. A biological male with intact genitalia and/or having committed a violent or sexual offense would not be in a women's prison. And that it would only be in very exceptional circumstances they would consider males not in this category entering the women's estate. It was very clear.

In essence by that decision it would only be that mythical sweet, gentle, fully SRS completed and slightly fraudulent accountant, occasionally glimpsed gamboling on the highlands, who would be in the women's estate. Because how many fully SRS completed male prisoners are there who have not committed violent or sexual offenses?

I very much hope this is a false rumour.

I don't think there is going to be a "trial" is there? He was recalled from being on licence, I didn't think that needed a full trial.

I think the rumour is designed to stir up the GC crowd and get us frothing (there seems to be a lot of it going on right now - perhaps its this months tactic.)

I agree. The messages seem a bit contrived and repetitive. I think it's all a trick/rumour/fake news.

I said rumours. I had some other points about the met and pshe guidance too.

I think some MPs - and/or their staff - automatically bin anything that is about women's sex-based rights. Their contempt plumbs unique depths.

Is there anything that constituents can do about this? AFAIK MPs don't have to respond to constituents...

In all honesty, mine has. Initially they were very much politely fence sitting. 'Your points are noted' etc. However when I contacted them prior to the HoC debate on the Equality Act recently they appear to have decided very clearly that this ideology has its problems, and the women's rights and children's safeguarding need firm protection in all decisions being made. And that sacrificing them is not a necessary part of providing for TQ+ people unless you're a zealot or a misogynist who is invested in wanting women's rights removed.

Quite refreshing to see the shift, it's taken time but it has happened.

@Ereshkigalangcleg no trial needed to recall from licence. A trial would be needed if he were charged with new offences, which he may have been.

Mine always responds and does know the issues.

The gaslighting and delusion is strong in this one, however worth a listen as it is very clear that SJB is connected to various networks of "activists" in a very Patsy Steveson-esque kind of way
