Looking at the sponsors… I wonder how many of Ovo’s and United Utilities’ customers would prefer them to be spending their money, time and energy on providing a half- decent service to their customers rather than virtue-signalling badging and branding activities like this.
As an example Ovo could reinstate the option for customers, who don’t have broadband / smartphones to submit meter readings via keying it in using their landline or dumb phone. That would support some actual diversity of need.
I note the OU is on the list of sponsors despite its lack of support for diversity of protected belief of its workforce.
