Women's Equality Network is holding a day when women will take over the Senedd. You can book your free ticket here. You don't seem to have to be in Wales to sign up for it.

You'll need to fill in a lot of woke shite about the gender you identify as etc but if you click on the the 'Prefer to use own term' boxes you can tell them that you don't have a gender/ have a sex not a gender and so on.

To make things more lively I self I've self-ID'd as older and religious and from a different ethnicity than I actually. If they accept the fantasy that a male person can be a woman then why should any of us feel obliged to have to stick to reality? Do promote and book, MNers.

We Belong Here / Lle i Ni: Women’s Takeover of the Senedd

Join us at the Senedd on 21st October as we bring women together to connect, mobilise and champion their role in Wales's democracy

No one? Not a single Wales-based woman interested?

I shall take a look

Sounds dubious to me--when they say "Women's takeover", who exactly are they talking about, women with XX chromosomes, or some other kind? If the others are excluded, there might be a fight about it. (It has happened elsewhere, so we hear.)

Hmm. I thought 'sounds interesting' and then when you read on it appears to be targeted specifically at women who are already involved in politics. I think trying to increase the number of women who even consider it/have a clue where to start might be a better idea. (Before we even start on the fact that they're clearly operating an 'opt in' definition of women so anyone can come.)

I've been attending Elect Her online meetings for the last year or two. The trans issue hasn't been discussed but I suspect a number of women have it in mind. I want GC women to be there to ask the questions and raise it as an issue and possibly start thinking about standing as independent candidates at council, parish and national level to take on Labour here in Wales. I'd also like to fire a shot across the bows of WEN (Women's Equality Network) which used to know the difference between the sexes but now thinks men can be women.

There are limited opportunities for women here in Wales to make a stand. I'd like to at least try and make this one of those occasions where GC voices are heard.
