Being on here is great but it great to have Ovarit as well. I especially appreciate the Activism circle because you can post about things needing gardening or signatures directly.

I wonder if these users are aware law enforcement can still track people through TOR and the darknet? It's not as "anonymous" as some may think.

I’m quite disappointed to see they finally removed it. Though the article still includes a bunch of quotes about them from Ovarit users - most of which seem to be talking about that incident and discussing how stupid they are.

That rationalwiki its amazing how much bilge some people will spew. Its not unbiased. I couldn't read the mumsnet entry so long and wrong. Mumsnet isn't even just a site for parents let alone mums alone. You learn something new and bonkers every day.

Not that interested in some US reddit offshoot Sorry. I don't get on with reddit. I can cope with mumsnet but that's enough.

I have found some subreddits helpful particularly around say abusive relationships which although open to everyone are predominantly female posters.

But when they banned all the gender ones and let ones like r/ struggle fucking ( rape porn) stay I realised reddit is a pile of misogynistic crap.

What a fun website. Reminds me of the twats who thought they were clever I went to school with in about Year 9.

Perhaps one of them could add the above to the website as an example of Mumsnet madness. Go on, I dare you!

That's what kiwifarms is. They got more traffic after the police panicked gender crticals on here by requiring mumsnet hand over a user's IP.

Some fun facts about the Kiwifarms owner:

• He was banned from YouTube due to bullying and harassment.
• His @KiwiFarms Twitter account was "permanently suspended" for racism.[13][58] It was back up for a few months under @KiwiFarmsDotNet, although supposedly only for status updates,[59] but this account was banned a few months later.[60]

The Ovarit admins don't allow their users to link to KiwiFarms or discuss how to access it, and conversations on the topic are watched very closely.

Ovarit does not allow links to Kiwi Farms as KF conversations generally break Ovarit Sitewide Rules. If commenters cannot discuss this without breaking Ovarit rules the conversation will be curtailed as with earlier threads. Users who ignore this warning will be banned.

There are general similarities I understand:

Both serve the purpose as a platform for anti-trans hate, despite what the owners say (ovarit is a supposed "women rights" site and kiwifarms "just harmlessly laugh" at LGBT people).

Both are inhabited by users who have been banned or scared off from other websites who won't permit hatred or have been shown to co-operate with law enforcement regarding potential criminal activity.

Is this another transwoman that is talked about endlessly in gender critical communities?

May I ask why these communities are so obsessed with transpeople? IMHO it's just downright creepy.

Or, in other words, the only connection between the two is in my imagination but I want to imply that Ovarit is very scary.
